(Spencer)– A collision involving several vehicles Tuesday on Highway 71 near the Spencer Sale Barn sent one person to the hospital.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Sami Londgren of Milford was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy when 65-year-old William DePue of Cylinder pulled out of the sale barn with a pickup pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with hay. Authorities say Londgren over-corrected and panic-braked, causing her to lose control. The vehicle she was driving then collided with parked truck and trailer whose owner was at the sale barn.
Londgren was taken to Spencer Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
The vehicle driven by Londgren was totaled; five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the parked 2004 Ford F-350 and cattle trailer owned by Dean Schlinz of Cleghorn; no damage was reported to the pickup and flatbed trailer driven by DePue.
