Collision On Hwy 60 At Heron Lake Sends Two People To The Hospital

(Heron Lake, Mn.)– A two-vehicle collision Monday on Highway 60 at Heron Lake sent two people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 57-year-old Tammy Deslauries of New Ulm was driving a 2024 Ford westbound and 85-year-old Duane Kirchner of Slayton was driving a 2015 Honda CRV northbound when the two collided.

Kirchner and a passenger is his vehicle, 73-year-old Leatrice Kirchner of Slayton, were taken to the Windom hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The collision took place a little after 12:30 pm.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Heron Lake Police Department, Heron Lake Fire and Ambulance and the Windom Ambulance assisted on the scene.
