(Emmetsburg)—A collision of two semis yesterday (Mon.) at the intersection of Highway 4 and 390th Street south of Emmetsburg claimed the life of a Little Rock man.
The Iowa State Patrol says 52-year-old Steven Rosenboom of Little Rock had stopped at a stop sign when he pulled into the path of an oncoming semi driven by 64-year-old David Ruehle of Graettinger. Authorities say the impact caused the rig driven by Rosenboom to burst into flames.
Rosenboom was pronounced dead a short time later.
The collision took place shortly after 6:00 a.m.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, the Emmetsburg Police Department, the Palo Alto County Ambulance and paramedics, and Emmetsburg Fire and Rescue.
