(West Bend)– A collision Wednesday near West Bend involving a semi tractor-trailer and a cement truck claimed a life.
The Iowa State Patrol says 27-year-old Shane Stanton of Philadelphia, Mississippi was driving the semi and 29-year-old Taylor Chance of Burt, Iowa, was driving the cement truck when two collided at an intersection.
Chance died in the crash; Stanton was seriously injured and was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital.
The collision took place around 5:00 pm.
The Iowa State Patrol says it remains under investigation.
