(Fostoria)– A collision Sunday involving a tractor and a pickup claimed the life of a Terril man. The Iowa State Patrol says a 2022 Chevrolet pickup driven by 68-year-old Jon Hjelm of Spencer and a 1955 International utility tractor driven by 77-year-old Roland Taylor of Terril were both northbound on Highway 71 near 300th Street near Fostoria when the collision occurred.
Troopers say Taylor was thrown off the tractor and died of his injuries.
Hjelm sustained minor injuries and was taken to Spencer Hospital.
The collision took place shortly before 6:00 pm.
