(Spencer)– One person was injured in a three-vehicle collision Tuesday at the intersection of 440th Street and Highway 71 in Clay county.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it involved a 2000 Chevrolet driven by 33-year-old Jill Henningsen of Rembrandt; a 2001 International truck tractor driven by 44-year-old Richy Harrington of Spencer and a Ford 8830 farm tractor driven by 23-year-old Dane Kramer of Spencer. Deputies say Henningsen was southbound on Highway 71 and had slowed to turn east. Authorities say Harrington rear-ended Henningsen, causing her to collide with Kramer who was driving the tractor pulling a grain bin trailer southbound on the shoulder of Highway 71.
Henningsen was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
$5,000 in damage was estimated to the car driven by Henningsen and to the truck tractor driven by Harrington. $1,700 in damage was estimated to a rear tire of the tractor Kramer was driving.
Authorities say charges are pending in connection with the collision.
