(Undated)– Cleanup from Monday night’s severe weather continues across a good deal of the region. The National Weather Service Tuesday officially declared it as a derecho.
In Spencer, city officials are telling residents desiring right of way tree debris to be picked up to have it stacked in the right of way in front of their property by 8:00 pm this (Wed.) evening. Material should be stacked parallel to the street, within the right of way. Spencer residents choosing to take debris to the tree site can use the regular tree dump site as well as a short term site at East Leach Park. That site is for residential dumping only.
Commercial operator pickup of trees in the right of way in Spencer will begin at 7:00 am Thursday with crews working through quadrants of the city.
