Clay County UDMO Office Moving To New Location Next Week

(Spencer)– The Clay County office of Upper Des Moines Opportunity is moving to a new location. Outreach Specialist Dawn Dahm says it will be taking place next week…

“We received a grant and we were able to purchase a permanent building so we’ll have a permanent location on the southwest side of town. We’ll be moving Wednesday of next week. We’ll be closed Wednesday, Thursday, Friday of next week; we’ll reopen on the 15th at our new location.”

Dahm says the food pantry will still be open this coming Monday from 10:00 am to 12 Noon at the present site. She says the new location will give them additional space from which to operate, and will provide another amenity as well…

“This new location is going to allow us to have a baby’s room again, where we continued to hand out items, but now we’ll be able to have clients actually go through the room and get what they need.”

The new location for the Clay County UDMO office will be 19 10th Street Southwest in Spencer, behind Kentucky Fried Chicken.
