Clay County Traffic Stops Results In Arrests Of Two People

(Spencer)– Some recent traffic stops in Clay county resulted in the arrests of two people on drug charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the first took place on February 14th in the 3000 mile of Highway 18. A deputy made contact with the driver and could smell marijuana in the vehicle. A search turned up marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 22-year-old Dylan Morales of Clarion was arrested and booked into jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.

The other incident took place on Monday of this week when a deputy pulled over a vehicle also in the same location. The driver, 19-year-old Christopher Clark, Jr. of Ruthven, was allegedly in possession of vaping products. A search of the vehicle turned up marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Clark was arrested and booked into jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; minor in possession of tobacco products and speeding.
