(Spencer)– Multiple charges have been filed against two men stemming from a traffic stop early Wednesday in the 2800 mile of Highway 18 in Clay county.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle was pulled over for speeding and that it was discovered the two occupants in it had been drinking alcohol. A sobriety test resulted in the driver, 26-year-old Alex Clark of Emmetsburg, being arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated…2nd offense.
Deputies also discovered a passenger, 25-year-old Kinzer Gross of Sacramento, California, was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of domestic abuse assault.
A search of the vehicle turned up an open container of beer, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Clark was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…3rd offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gross was charged with public intoxication, open container and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both men were booked into the Clay county jail.
