(Spencer)– Multiple arrests were made in a weekend traffic stop in Clay county.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle a little before 3:00 am Sunday in the 1,000 mile of Highway 18 and smelled marijuana. A subsequent search resulted in 20-year-old Jakari Sanders of Spencer and 36-year-old Samantha Dowd of Sheldon being arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana. Dowd was additionally charged with possession of contraband in a correctional facility after jailers found a marijuana pipe.
The driver, Sara Collins of Hartley, was charged with driving under suspension and failure to file S.R. Insurance.
