Clay County Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges

(Spencer)– A traffic stop early Sunday in the 3200 mile of Highway 71 in Clay county resulted in drug charges against a man and some teens. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle a little after 2:30 am for a traffic violation. The deputy saw some open containers of alcohol, and upon investigating, also found a controlled substance.

A passenger, 24-year-old Zoe Lorenzen of Milford, was cited and released for possession of a controlled substance-mushrooms. The 16-year-old male driver, also of Milford, was cited for possession of a controlled substance-mushrooms…1st offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia. An additional charge of operating while intoxicated…1st offense, is pending results of lab tests. A 17-year-old was also cited for possession of alcohol under the legal age and was released to a guardian. Another passenger was cited for open container.
