Clay County Rollover Sends Several To Hospital

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A single-vehicle rollover Saturday in Clay county sent several people to the hospital with possible injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office says 59-year-old Kathleen Bittner of rural Lake Park was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer on Highway 71 between Spencer and Fostoria when she lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle left the road and went into the median where it rolled onto its roof.

Bittner and two passengers, who’s names weren’t released, were taken to Spencer Hospital for observation.

The vehicle was totaled.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spencer Police Department, Fostoria Fire and Rescue and Spencer EMT’s.

The mishap took place around 3:15 p.m. Saturday.
