(Fostoria)– A single-vehicle mishap Thursday evening near Fostoria injured a Spencer teen.
The Iowa State Patrol says 18-year-old Alex Tayler of Spencer was southbound on 230th Avenue about a half mile south of County Road B-14 when he swerved to the right to miss a deer.
The 2004 Chevrolet Malibu he was driving left the road and went into the west ditch where it flipped onto its top.
Tayler was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital. There was no word on the extent of his injuries or condition.
The State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Spencer and Fostoria Fire and Rescue crews and the Spencer Hospital ambulance.
The mishap took place shortly before 8:30 p.m.
