(Spencer-) The Clay County Sheriff’s office is seeking help from the public following an apparent hit-and-run which occurred on Highway 18 and 200th Avenue on Tuesday, August 20 at 10:24 p.m.
Authorities say a City of Spencer 2013 Peterbilt, driven by 33 year old Bradley Pitts was traveling west on Highway 18 and slowing to turn south onto 200th Avenue when a white straight truck traveling west passed the City truck in the intersection. The white truck reportedly sideswiped the Peterbilt, and left the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
