Clay County officials seek help following hit-and-run

(Spencer-) The Clay County Sheriff’s office is seeking help from the public following an apparent hit-and-run which occurred on Highway 18 and 200th Avenue on Tuesday, August 20 at 10:24 p.m.

Authorities say a City of Spencer 2013 Peterbilt, driven by 33 year old Bradley Pitts was traveling west on Highway 18 and slowing to turn south onto 200th Avenue when a white straight truck traveling west passed the City truck in the intersection.   The white truck reportedly sideswiped the Peterbilt, and left the scene.  The accident remains under investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clay County Sheriff’s office at 712-262-3221.
