Clay County Man To Be Inducted Into 4-H Hall Of Fame

November 22, 2014

(Des Moines)– A Clay county man will be inducted into the 2011 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame in a ceremony to be held at 1:30 p.m. this Sunday at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines.

Tom Manley of Clay County will be one of 121 inductees into this year’s Hall of Fame.

Manley will be recognized for his contributions to Clay County 4-H by working with numerous service groups and committees and leading program and partnering efforts, along with his work on the county 4-H Blue Ribbon Committee and by enhancing the acknowledgement that goes toward 4-H members.

The Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame got its start in 2002 to help commemorate the 100th anniversary of 4-H.

Information about previous inductees will be available at this year’s Iowa State Fair in the 4-H exhibits building. It can also be found on the Iowa 4-H Foundation website.
