(Spencer)– The Clay County Fair is looking for candidates for Fair Queen.
Coronation will be held Sunday, April 15th.
The winner will reign over this year’s Clay County Fair and compete for the State Fair Queen title.
Female candidates between the ages of 16 and 21 by August 9th of this year are eligible to apply. They must never been married, must have no children, cannot be a professional model, cannot represent any other organization, and must reside in Clay county or an adjoining county if the majority of her activities are in Clay county. Applicants must also be a member of atleast one service organization.
Application forms are available from area school counselors, the Clay County Fair office, or online at claycountyfair.com. Application deadline is March 20th.
A committee will select the finalists. Finalists will be notified by March 30th.
Candidates will be judged on personality, attitude, awareness, leadership and citizenship, contribution to the community, overall appearance, charm, poise and self-expression.
