Clay County Community Foundation Offering Relief To Flood Victims

July 09, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Spencer)– Residents of a flooded northwest Iowa city are showing a lot of determination. Terri Batchelet is with the Clay County Community Foundation…

“This community is a shining example of what people coming together can do. I am seeing people that have lost entire homes who are saying we’re going to get through it.”

The foundation is offering grants to help Spencer residents, flooded out of their homes. The flood destroyed at least one-thousand homes and damaged twice that many. The foundation is also accepting online donations.
