(Langdon)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a pop machine was broken into sometime Monday at Green Plain Grain in Langdon and that a signficant amount of money and pop is missing.
Deputies say at about 6:45 a.m. Monday a worker discovered the machine had been broken into.
Upon investigating, deputies determined someone took a torch to the key hole of the machine and melted a hole through it. Entry was then gained to the machine. About 180-dollars was reported missing from the machine along with 120-20 ounce bottles of pop.
Damage to the machine was estimated at 2,800-dollars.
Authorities say the incident remains under investigation.
