(Spencer)– A traffic stop early Sunday in Clay county resulted in traffic and drug charges against four young men.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle shortly before 3:00 a.m. for a traffic violation. Upon investigating, a search of the vehicle was conducted which turned up what’s alleged to be two marijuana pipes, an open container of beer and three and-a-half pills of methadone.
22-year-old Jamie Grothe and 25-year-old Matthew Parks…both of Omaha…were arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
20-year-old Jeremy Huebner of Tabor, Iowa was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; and 19-year-old Andrew Hughes of Randolph, Iowa was detained for alcohol violations.
Additional charges were filed againt the four when they arrived at the Clay county jail.
Grothe was charged with no proof of insurance; Parks was cited for littering; Huebner was charged with possession of a controlled substance-methadone; and Hughe was cited and released for underage alcohol possession and open container.
