(Spencer)– One of the eight days of this year’s Clay County Fair will be dedicated to Iowa and its ties to rock ‘n roll. Fair General Manager Jason Brockshus says they’ve partnered with the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association to bring Iowa Music Day to the Clay County Fair on Thursday, September 11th…
“We’ll have some educational opportunities going on in the ballroom in the Events Center. Then that evening they’re going to bring up a couple of bands to perform at the Northwest Bank Stage, so that will be new to the fair this year. Normally those acts wrap up about 6:00 pm and then there’s no entertainment on the grounds outside of the grandstands but this year if you want some live music come out to the fair 7:00 to 10:00 Thursday, Iowa Music Day. It’s going to be great.”
Brockshus says the Clay County Fair and the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association began to collaborate last year but he says the timing wasn’t quite right then.
