(Spencer)– Clay county authorities say the driver of a semi apparently suffered a medical emergency prior to his rig going into a ditch on Highway 18 about two and-a-half miles esast of Spencer over the weekend.
Authorities were called to the scene around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
The driver, 42-year-old Dana Lee of Whittemore, was taken to Spencer Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Dickens and Spencer Fire Departments, Spencer Hospital ambulance and several bystanders.
