City Of Spencer Making Progress In Dealing With Nuisance Vehicles

August 11, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Spencer)– Officials in Spencer say they’re making progress in addressing a problem with nuisance vehicles in the city. Police Chief Mark Warburton updated the city council on the matter at their meeting earlier this week…

“This process started back in May when the Police Department went ahead and canvassed the city of Spencer for nuisance vehicles, and the city, excuse me, the officers identified 89 vehicles that met the definition of nuisance vehicles. Of those 89, 82 of them have been moved so far this year, so we’re down to seven vehicles and I’ve got commitments from five or six more, so. I’m looking forward to getting that completed later this year.”

Warburton says some who have received notices have taken care of the problem on their own. He thanks them for that.
