City Of Spencer, Employee Union, Reach Contract Agreement

(Spencer)– The city of Spencer and the union that represents some of its workers have come to terms on a new two year contract. City Manager Dan Gifford says it solely reflects an increase in wages…

“This agreement is with the Spencer Employee Association. We came to an agreement on a two year contract with a 3.5 percent wage increase each year of the two year contract. That’s all that’s involved in this contract.”

The city council voted Monday to ratify the new contract, which will be in effect from July 1st, 2024 through June 30th, 2026.
