(Jackson, Mn.)– The pool at the Jackson County Central High School is in dire of need of repairs. The city and the school are still fighting for funding from the state.
At Tuesday’s Jackson City Council meeting, a resolution was passed for the capital budget request process from the state. City Administrator Jim Langford says the resolution is all part of the process…
“The intent is to help get some state money to fund the needed repairs of the community pool. Part of that requires a resolution, a signed resolution, by the city council and the state actually requires that attached and referenced in your funding request. So that’s why it was even on the agenda as a resolution.”
The request from the state is for $3,667,650.
The resolution also states that the city would provide a little under $1.8 million toward the cost of the project which is estimated at just under $7.5 million.
