City Of Arnolds Park Considering Amendment To Outdoor Service Ordinance

August 10, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Arnolds Park)– The city of Arnolds Park is considering an amendment to an ordinance that pertains to outdoor serving of beer and wine. City Clerk Linda Nase…

“Currently the state allows you to purchase beer or wine at the counter, or at the bar, and then you can carry it anywhere on the premises to consume. Without an outdoor service area license you cannot actually serve out there, but you can carry it out there. We’re just looking at amending the ordinance that you cannot consume or purchase without that specific area being covered by the liquor license itself.”

Nase boils it down a little further…

“That would require the business owner to fence in the area or contain the area so the service is only in a designated spot instead of being able to carry the drinks throughout the property.”

The Arnolds Park City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed amendment September 13th.
