(Sioux City)– A Cherokee man has pled guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. 54-year-old Jeffery Linn entered the plea Monday in U.S. District Court in Sioux City.
The charge stems from a traffic stop on December 6th, 2021, when law enforcement seized about 10 ounces of meth that Linn was planning to distribute. Authorities say Linn was attempting to swallow some of the drug to avoid arrest.
Sentencing is pending completion of a pre-sentence report. Linn remains in the custody of federal officials.
