(Arnolds Park)– Nominations are now being accepted for cheerleaders for the upcoming University of Okoboji Winter Games January 23rd through the 25th.
Erin Roe of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce says nomination forms are available at their office in the Okoboji Spirit Center, or the Maritime Museum building, in Arnolds Park.
Qualifications are simple: candidates must be a resident of Dickinson county; someone who’s energetic and gives back to the area; and someone who’s cheerful and outgoing.
Nominations are being accepted until January 2nd.
The eight cheerleaders that are selected will be honored Saturday, January 24th at 6:30 p.m. during the Fireworks Extravaganza.
