(Ashton)– Charges have been filed against an Ashton man accused of firing a shotgun from the porch of his home.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has charged 50-year-old Theodore Smith of Ashton with reckless use of a firearm and domestic abuse assault.
Deputies say they were called to Smith’s residence Sunday after getting a 911 call.
Smith was being held in the Osceola county jail on a 2,600-dollar bond.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Iowa State Patrol and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
