(Milford)– Some changes in personnel at a local medical clinic.
Jamie Hicks, Family Nurse Practitioner, has joined Milford Family Care as the clinic’s full-time healthcare provider.
Hicks replaces Dr. Sherry Tighe and Nurse Practitioner Maureen Horsley, who will both continue with the Avera Health System. Dr. Tighe is relocating her practice to Avera Spencer Family Care; Horsley, who has been splitting her time between Milford and Spencer, will now spend most of her time in Spencer.
A come-and-go reception in honor of Dr. Tighe, Horsley and Hicks will bee held Monday, March 30th from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Milford Family Care.
Hicks, a Spirit Lake resident, has been serving patients at the Palo Alto County Health System in Emmetsburg since August 2006. She has also served as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Sheldon Family Practice Associates and Sanford’s Worthington, Minnesota clinic.
Prio to earning her graduate degree, she was a staff nurse at Lakes Regional Health Care in Spirit Lake.
Hicks is originally from Paullina and received her nursing degree from Iowa Lakes Community College. She pursued her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Iowa and earned her graduate degree from Minnesota State University in Mankato.
She and her husband, Dustin, have two boys.
