(Sioux City)– A Carroll, Iowa man has pled guilty in U.S. District court to a meth charge related to a local case.
28-year-old Beau Berge pled guilty Monday to a charge of conspiring to distribute methamphetamine.
At the hearing, Berge admitted he conspired to distribute more than 500 grams of meth from 2008 through February of this year in Emmet and Kossuth counties.
Sentencing will be scheduled pending completion of a pre-sentence report. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment and a possible maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a four million dollar fine, a special assessment of $100 and five years up to life of supervised release following any imprisonment.
The case was investigated by the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, the Kossuth, Clay and Emmet County Sheriff’s Offices and the Estherville Police Department.
