Car Vs Semi Collision Seriously Injures Hartley Woman

March 15, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Sibley)– A collision this past Friday near Sibley involving a car and a semi sent one person to the hospital. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 45-year-old Heather Ten Kley of Hartley was driving a 2005 Chevrolet westbound on county road A-22 and was going over the Highway 60 overpass and 32-year-old Tanner Doeden of George was driving a 2004 Freightliner semi eastbound on the county road. Deputies say Doeden was turning onto the onramp for Highway 60 and that he failed to see the vehicle driven by Ten Kley. Her vehicle then collided with the passenger side of the semi tractor.

Ten Kley was seriously injured and had to be extricated for her vehicle. She was then taken by ambulance to Osceola Regional Health Center in Sibley.

Doeden was charged with failure to yield.
