(Sheldon)– Authorities say a 15-year-old boy who was seriously injured in an accident earlier today (Wednesday) near Sheldon has now died of his injuries.
The Iowa State Patrol says 71-year-old Bonnie Allison of Spencer was driving a 2016 Hyundai Elantra westbound on 280th Street. Troopers say a Honda moped, driven by a 15-year-old male who’s name hasn’t been released, was southbound on Highway 60 and that the two collided.
The teen was taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital and later succumbed of his injuries. No injuries were reported to Allison.
An accident report says the mishap is still under investigation. It took place around 12:30 pm.
