(Little Rock)– A car-deer collision Monday evening on Highway 9 near Little Rock resulted in minor injuries to a George woman.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says Brandie Eben of George was westbound when a deer came up out of the east ditch. A 2002 Pontiac she was driving came to rest on the shoulder of the road after colliding with the animal.
Deputies say Eben’s head struck the steering wheel upon impact. She was taken to Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids to be checked over as a precaution.
$1,500 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
The collision took place around 7:30 p.m.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Little Rock ambulance and the Little Rock Fire Department.
