Car Vs Culvert Collision Injures George Man

(Rock Rapids)– A George man was injured Saturday evening when a vehicle he was driving collided with a culvert.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says Mark Freeman was westbound on a county road when he blacked out, resulting in the collision.

Freeman was taken to Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids for further evaluation. He was later arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

$2,000 in damage was estimated to a 2005 Mazda he was driving.

The collision took place shortly before 8:00 p.m.
