Car vs ATV Collision Injures Terril Man

(Terril)– The Iowa State Patrol has released details into a collision Sunday that involved a car and an all-terrain-vehicle at the intersection of County Road N-14 and 270th Street on the Clay/Dickinson county line south of Terril.

Troopers say 83-year-old Robert Blum of Terril was driving an ATV and was proceeding through the intersection when he collided with the rear of a 2005 Pontiac driven by 14-year-old Kyle Dose of Terril, who authorities say had the right-of-way.

The impact cause Blum to fall of the ATV and land on the roadway.

Blum was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with non-incapacitating injuries. No injuries were reported to Dose.

100-dollars in damage was estimated to the ATV driven by Blum; the car driven by Dose sustained an estimated four thousand dollars in damage.

The collision took place shortly after 2:30 p.m.
