(Milford)– One person was taken to the hospital to be checked over for possible injuries following a collision last (wed.) evening involving a van and a semi at the corner of 13th Street and Highway 71 in Milford.
Milford police say 47-year-old Susan Reuland of Milford was driving a 2002 Mercury Villager van eastbound on 13th street and 37-year-old Timothy Fortin of Winnebago, Minnesota was driving a 2007 International semi northbound on Highway 71 when the two collided.
Reuland was taken by private vehicle to Lakes Regional Healthcare to be checked over for possible injuries; no injuries were reported to Fortin.
Damage to the van driven by Reuland was estimated at seven thousand dollars; about four thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the semi.
The collision took place around 8:10 p.m.
The Milford Police Department was assisted on the scene by the Arnolds Park and Okoboji Police Departments and Milford Fire and Rescue.
