(Rolfe)– Authorities say a school bus carrying more than a dozen students has been involved in a crash in Pocahontas county.
The Sheriff’s Office there says a vehicle rear-ended the bus around 7:30 a.m. this (Tues.) morning while it was stopped at a railroad crossing on Highway 15 in Rolfe.
Authorities say the bus driver, Dean Williams of Pocahontas, and his 15 passengers, weren’t hurt and the bus had minimal damage.
The car driven by 19-year-old John Simpson of Rolfe, was totaled. He and a passenger were taken to the Pocahontas hospital where officials weren’t releasing their conditions.
Simpson was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance.
