(Graettinger)– Authorities in Palo Alto county are looking for the driver of a car that collided with a house in Graettinger over the weekend.
Deputies say the driver of the vehicle was southbound on South Jackson Street and was attempting to turn right onto West Lost Island Street and lost control. The vehicle went into a yard, slid on some grass and collided with the northeast corner of a house owned by Michael Hill. The vehicle then fled the scene.
Authorities say the Hills were home at the time of the crash, but weren’t hurt. Minor structural damage was reported to the house.
The incident took place around 3:00 a.m. Saturday.
Deputies say they know the make of the car was a Chevrolet–seems as though the entire headlight assembly, pieces of the grill and a Chevy emblem were left behind at the scene.
The believe the car is possibly dark blue or gray in color.
