(Orleans)—No injuries were reported when a car collided with a house last (Wed.) evening in Orleans. It happened in the area of 140th Street and Peoria Avenue. No one was in the house at the time.
The Spirit Lake Fire Department was called to the scene to stand by as a precaution as a gas meter had been hit as well. Fire Chief David Kollasch says most of the damage was contained to a corner of the house, where there was significant structural damage.
Authorities were called to the scene shortly after 5:30 p.m. Firefighters were on the scene about a half hour to 45 minutes.
