(Worthington)– A collision involving a car and a grain trailer late Thursday afternoon on Highway 60 east of Worthington sent one person to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Heather Youngwirth of Mountain Lake came upon a slow moving vehicle pulling a grain trailer but was unable to stop in time. She collided with the rear of the trailer as she attempted to swerve around it. The vehicle Youngwirth was driving then flipped over and slid down the road on its top.
Youngwirth was taken by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Worthington where she was treated and released.
No injuries were reported to 66-year-old Walter Vogt, who was driving the vehicle pulling the grain wagon.
Damage estimates and the types of vehicles involved weren’t immediately available.
The collision took place shortly after 4:30 p.m. yesterday (Thurs.).
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office.
