Car Collides With Convenience Store

November 22, 2014

(Peterson)– No injuries were reported when a vehicle collided with a convenience store last week in Clay county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 58-year-old Dianna Johnson of Moville was backing a 2008 Dodge Durango into a parking spot on the north side of the Car-Go Express store in Peterson. Authorities say the engine revved, causing the vehicle to lunge backward. It struck a parked van, pushing it several feet before striking the store, going into it about two feet.

Damage estimates weren’t immediately available.

The incident took place Thursday.
