(Arnolds Park)– A popular event is back for this year’s 46th Annual University of Okoboji Winter Games. The Mary Lynn Ingvall Real Estate Team will once again sponsor the Chocolate Classic and Galleria. Director of Events for the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Morgan Strauss, explains what happens during the event…
“Each year, Marilyn Real Estate Team sponsors our Chocolate Classic and Galleria and that is Saturday of Winter games. It’s a great way to get out of the cold. Um, and honestly, just enjoy a sweet treat and what they have to bring there. Um, there’s also a vendor show there, so it’s one to three at the Dickinson County Expo building. Um, in Spirit Lake. And it’s just such a fun time. I mean, if you have a sweet tooth at all, I would highly, highly recommend coming to this event.”
Strauss says if you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to be…
“Anything under the sun. I feel like they always have there, whether it’s bars, cookies, donuts. Sometimes they even make little sweet treats in a cup. It’s all grab and go. So you purchase your tickets at the front door and then that exchange is for one sweet treat. And you can fill your to go boxes and just swoop in and out. Or you can stay for the whole afternoon. It’s it’s an awesome event.”
Strauss says they are still looking for vendors…
“Our registration is still open and we are looking for more vendors. So I would say about a thousand people come to this event. Last year there was over one thousand people. So the more sweet treats we have to hand out, the better. So if you’re looking to do that, head to UofOWinter games. Com.”
