Burn Bans Previously In Effect For Some Counties Have Been Lifted

November 10, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Undated)– Burn bans previously in effect in several northwest Iowa counties have been lifted. The bans in Osceola, O’Brien and Sioux counties were removed earlier this week. The ban remains in effect in Cherokee county.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office determined that the fire danger has eased in those areas with recent rainfall, but they say everyone should still use extreme caution as the moisture was limited and things will likely dry out very quickly once again.

No measurable precipitation is in the forecast through the next week.
