Brisk Sales Being Reported So Far For Clay County Fair Vendors

(Spencer)– Clay County Fair officials say they couldn’t be more pleased so far when it comes to the crowds and sales. Fair General Manager Jeremy Parsons says vendors and concessionaires are reporting brisk sales…

“Especially what we track specifically. You know we don’t know exactly what every vendor is doing, but we do know what food and beverage vendors and what the carnival does for revenue because they have to pay us a percentage of those sales, and record spending for the first few days of the fair. So that’s a sign that people are wanting to come out and they like what they see here at the fair. They’re staying a long time, they’re having a good time and they’re spending some money while they’re here.”

Parsons says the nice weather so far during this year’s fair has also been a contributing factor.

The Clay County Fair powered by SMU continues through Sunday.
