(Cherokee)– Work on a bridge over the Little Sioux River on Highway 3 east of Cherokee is resulting in a detour. The Iowa Department of Transportation says a detour onto several county roads is in effect for the project which will be ongoing until mid-November.
The Iowa D.O.T reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones.
