(Arnolds Park) Bras for a Cause was held last Wednesday at the Peacock Lounge in Arnold’s Park. It was a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and volunteer and cancer survivor Di Lorenzen says it was a successful event.
“We pulled in 21 thousand six hundred and fifty dollars and that doesn’t even include our in kind sponsors that we had that helped us with all the expenses. So we are so thankful and so grateful for the community support coming out. The Silent auction items and especially all the bras that we auctioned off, what a fun event.”
Smart Power Sports of Okoboji donated an e-bike that was raffled off and Lorenzen says it was fun to call the winner.
“Thank you very very much to the Smart Powersports of Okoboji up here that donated the E-bike. Kathy Otterby, she’s a summer resident here otherwise from Minnesota and she was just elated that she won the bike so it was really awesome.”
Lorenzen thanks all of the sponsors for making the event so successful and looks forward to doing it again next year.
