Branstad to allow overweight loads

Governor Terry Branstad has issued a proclamation to allow the transportation of overweight loads of soybeans, corn, hay and straw effective on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011
The proclamation applies to loads transported on all highways within Iowa, excluding the interstate system. The Governor‘s office says that the action is designed to help Iowa farmers during the harvest, and expedite the movement of Iowa’s commodities. The proclamation expires after 14 days.
