(Spirit Lake)– No injuries were reported when a compressor in a window air conditioner malfunctioned and blew up Wednesday evening at a Spirit Lake residence.
Spirit Lake Fire Chief David Kollasch tells KUOO news firefighters were called to 517 Hill Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Kollasch says while the fire was contained to the air conditioner itself, that some smoke got into the rest of the house. He says firefighters were on the scene about an hour ventilating the house.
