Benefit To Be Held This Weekend To Benefit Family Impacted By House Fire Late Last Year

June 15, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Jackson, Mn.)– A benefit will be held this weekend for a family affected by a house fire back in December of last year in Jackson.

Christine Mason Gottsche lost her life due to severe burns in that fire back on December 3rd, 2022. Her sister, Jessica Gottsche, says the proceeds will assist the family in cleaning up what’s left of the home…

“It’s an eyesore for the town, for the family, it’s starting to fall a little bit on its own but of course we just want to get it cleaned up and kind of not have so many memories of that I suppose. We’ve talked to a couple of different contractors and the pricing is kind of rather expensive for that, one we got for $18,000 the next one I think was $15,000 so this benefit will be for the house to come down.”

A pulled pork meal will be served Saturday (June 17th) from 10:30 am until 3:00 pm at the Jackson American Legion along with a silent auction and bake sale.
